The Renormalization Group (RG) has had a remarkable success in the past 15 years in obtaining asymptotic results to differential equations describing physical processes from cosmology to material science to fluids avoiding the complications of the more well-known methods (matched asymptotic expansions, WKB, multiple scales etc). This minisymposium will address recent attempts to simplify/elucidate/interpret the method (analytical techniques), demonstrate its power through representative problems describing Nature (applications) and introduce new formalisms for laying down its mathematical foundations (Theory). This MS will act as a means to increase the visibility of the RG in applied mathematics.
